acer-aspire-vn7-792g - blown components on 19V DC BAT line

Hi All,

First post here so be gentle!

I've got a acer-aspire-vn7-792g here with no power.
motherboard Newgate _SLS MB GDDR5
14307 - 1M
448.06A11.001M

User had changed the DC socket themselves but were wiggling it about for months apparently.

I've taken the laptop apart and the following components were melted.
PC8502 - obviously a cap SC10U25V5KX10uF25V
PG5006/PG5005 these are labelled as Close-Gap. does this just mean that they are just a link or are they a component? They are just blocks in the schematic and nothing comes up on board view

Thankyou. I was hoping that. I guess that I can just run a wire link between them then to restore thecircuit?

you need to check if there is any shirt circuit on pin 1 and pin 2 of PG5006 before you done any thing .

and check if PC8503 PC8504 are not shirted to the ground on pin 1 .
